A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 public school setting in Poulsbo, Washington, covering a maternity leave from January 5th, 2026 through March 27th, 2026. This contract opportunity offers hands-on work with a caseload of 27 students at Hilder Pearson Elementary, along with participation on the early childhood Child Find team. The role requires in-person attendance and offers valuable experience in both elementary education and early childhood intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of elementary students
- Collaborate with the Child Find team to identify and support early childhood speech and language needs
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide progress documentation
- Work directly in the school environment to implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State SLP license
- Education Staff Associate (ESA) certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and children
